Classic Cape Cod Wedding

Oh, where do I even begin with this classic Cape Cod wedding in Chatham, MA. Chelsea and Scott tied the knot at the Chatham Bars Inn on an October day that started with rain, and ended with the most spectacular magenta sunset over the sea. Every detail was planned, from her Kate Spade shoes, the classic old car after their ceremony. The entire day embodied chic, coastal New England. Keep scrolling to see more of their day and read about some of the amazing details. Congratulations, you two. This was the best day!

The use of nautical flag initials was the perfect choice for their wedding theme of coastal New England. I love how every detail was so well thought-out.

Even their florals had touches of ocean blue among the whites and greens. I loved the subtle pop of color, while still remaining bright and romantic.

Chelsea travled to Klienfeld in New York City to find this timeless, satin gown. I don’t see satin often, so I was blown away to find this gown hanging in their suite. This simple dress fit her like a glove and was effortlessly classy. The back had hundred of buttons from top to bottom, per request of the bride’s vision. Amazing!

I absolutely love it when couple’s take the time to write to each other on their wedding day to capture and remember how they are feeling in that moment. Chelsea took a quiet moment to read her note from Scott, trying told hold back the tears. I also had a lump in my throat just watching this sweet exchange. The dress is strategically hung in the background to remind us of the significance of this moment.

Scott read his letter from Chelsea and it was heart-warming to see how emotional he got. Scott wears his heart on his sleeve, and his love for Chelsea was so apparent in this moment.

It takes a village! I love this shot of Chelsea’s mom and sisters helping her complete her bridal look.

With this kind of reaction from the audience, how can you not feel like a real-life princes?!

Sometimes the out-of-focus shots make for the dreamiest in-between moments. I never delete my “mistake” photos because I often end up falling in love with them later.

The rain stopped! Cocktail hour was held on the beach, just like the two had hoped for. We also were able to take the bridal party down by the ocean and it was everything this couple had wanted on their wedding day.

Sometimes when I tell a bridal party to smile and look at each other, I’m actually just focusing on the bride. I love how serene and perfect she looks, with her friends laughing and smiling around her.

Have you seen a more handsome group of gentlemen? I love that Scott’s distinguishing feature is that dapper bowtie, standing out amongst his friends. These dudes clean up nicely!

Each table was labeled as a tribute to significant places in their lives. Every table had a story! This is a great to encourage conversation between guests during dinner!

This is such a timeless photo of their first dance! I love how the band (Silver Arrow Band), the lights and their parents are all visible in the background, but all you see is the joy on their faces.

Clearly this was a fun party! What a great night!
