Hannah and Devin’s ViewPoint Hotel Wedding in York, Maine was one of the most romantic weddings I have ever had the honor of capturing. The Maine coast was moody and misty, which just added to the dreamy atmosphere. The couple chose the ViewPoint hotel because of an emotional and significant attachment to Nubble Head Lighthouse, just off the coast. It was so special to see the lighthouse watching over their day (even if it disappeared behind the rain and fog for a while)! Hannah’s classic jewelry, cascading bouquet and romantic lace dress came together perfectly. Devin looked so sharp in his suit and he could not stop smiling at his bride. These two quickly won me over and I loved everything about their day.
Oh hi there, beautiful. How do you look perfect before your hair is even done?
I love catching those moments between friends. Weddings gather people together and it’s so fun to see the joy it brings.
We all know that doing a first look with your beloved is a thing… but what about a first look with your girls?! I loved this moment with Hannah and her bridesmaids. They were so excited to see her in her gown and the expressions were priceless!
This has become one of my all-time favorite photos I’ve ever taken. I knew it the second I clicked the shutter.
Devin and his groomsmen looked so sharp in their dark suits and matching ties.
I love when my couples have an unplugged ceremony. Seeing a sign like this coming into a ceremony makes me so happy. Rather than having your guests experience your special moment through their phone (and having your photos be littered with glowing screens), invite everyone to be present. I promise that I’m taking amazing photos!
This is one of the few churches that I can shoot with natural light. Oh, whitewashed walls! Oh, the light!
Now, THAT is an entrance.
They are married!
This bridal party braved the rain for a shot with the lighthouse in the background. I loved their spirit as we sprinted out of the tent. This group would do anything for the bride and groom, which was so heartwarming. Cold, wet, and still smiling:)
I absolutely could not get enough of the florals. Peonies and cascading greenery everywhere….
Devin smiled all day long. Seeing Hannah made his face light up every time.
Pro tip: Stand near the couple when giving your speech! It allows me to get both the speaker and the couple’s reaction in one shot. I love the layers of joy in this photo -the best man, the bride and groom, and members of the audience are all smiling ear to ear.
No one loves you like your mama. The parent dances will always pull on my heart strings. I love this part of the day.
Congratulations again, Hannah and Devin!!!
