This Point Lookout Wedding in Northport, Maine was one of the most relaxed, stress-free days I’ve ever had. Lyndsey and Jai were some of the happiest and laid-back people! When I first started talking to Lyndsey, I happened to be on a trip on the west coast and we were able to meet for coffee one morning. It was such an a treat to connect with her right away and I looked forward to their big day for months. When the time finally came, the fog rolled through the Camden hills and the world was dreamy and white. As everyone finished getting ready, the sun started to shine though and we were treated to the most breathtaking view. Keep scrolling and you’ll see that their ceremony had the best of Maine and endless blue as their backdrop.
Detail shots don’t need to be complicated! There is beauty in simplicity.
This bouquet is probably my favorite ever. I love that Lyndsey embraced color! It’s fun, whimsical and hopelessly romantic.
This girl is gorgeous without even trying!
Jai arrived fashionably late to the venue and totally ready to roll. He showed up, all smiles, and said “Lex, I’m ready for my close-up!” I loved his enthusiasm and we managed to squeeze in a few portraits before the ceremony.
What did I tell you about this view? Wow.
I love sneaking behind the altar when possible to grab the classic ceremony shot from the opposite perspective. It’s fun to see all the guests faces (usually I only see the back of their heads!) and get a view that no one would otherwise see.
Their vows were heartwarming, funny, and so filled with love. I felt like I had known them for years by the end of the evening.
“Whisper something romantic in her ear…” is often my favorite prompt because I never know if a couple is going to follow instructions seriously, stare at me blankly, or make a joke. I’ll give you one guess what Jai did here.
